This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life! I have been reported to a debt collecting agency for a bill that has been incorrectly estimated, and after I gave a new reading and paid the correct amount! I am absolutely flabbergasted by their complete and utter incompetence. I have spent hours on the phone trying to rectify the problem and requested a subject data access request in June which they have ignored. Despite having three phones calling different numbers at the moment - I am 45 minutes in and no one had answered. Please think very carefully before using this supplier.

Why si there not a dedicated number for electrical contractors to use for meter moves etc the call centre is pointless as it is not somethng they know

Extremely disappointed with the service I am being given by SSE. We have been calling daily for over a week to arrange for a meter to be moved as we are having work done on our house and need it relocated. Every time I have called I am having to re explain myself to the agent. There is limited knowledge and no power to get through to the right department and or escalation with managers. The agents can take 30 mins to 1hr to get through and explain your issue. Almost as if notes on accounts are not being recorded and re explanations are required each time you call. They promise emails, call back and you don't get anything back. I even raised this as a complaint and had no written acknowledgement. I have raise with ofgem too who managed to put me in touch with their escaltions team and again was promised an email confirming steps taken and a call back and I have had nothing. I have never experienced service like this from anywhere I have dealt with. It is absolutely shocking and not acceptable in any way shape or form. This issues need to be answered. I have been reading through other complaints and similar service is being given across to other customer and across the business. Whilst I understand that you have sold the business on, current SSE clients have not been made aware and poor service is not going to get you to retain your clients. I do hope that these messages are taken seriously, it is not acceptable guys!!

I am loathed to even give 1 star. PLEASE do not go with SSE if you would like even a BASIC level of customer service. Regularly waiting over an hour on hold before being answered with information I already know in a completely unsympathetic way. They were of NO help in locating my meter at an apartment building I had just moved to with a new baby yet were demanding a reading. My most recent communication with them I was passed back and forth between 4 colleagues (none of whom knew what they were talking about nor wanted to help in any way) who all talked over me after asking me what the issue was. If you've asked a question surely you want to listen to the answer?! And to top it off Karen even put me on hold mid sentence?! If you are looking for an energy supplier to charge you for estimated readings double what they actually are and then dispute accurate readings sent to them all whilst dealing with the worst 'customer service' team(I use the phrase lightly) then SSE is for you!

Absolute shambles of a customer service team. They do nothing but lie to you. Been lied to constantly for weeks. Due a refund and we'll so much red tape they have to get through to give back something that already belongs to me. Heaven forbid my DD was hrs late. Can't wait to get my final bill then I can be rid of this despicable company. Pretty sure when they employ people the word liar on your cv gets you to the top of the queue to be accepted. Somehow paying for Buckingham Palace every month in my 2 bed semi prices are extortionate. Rip off lying joke is what they are.
