Colin changed our old wooden fuse board for a modern unit. He explained how the new unit works and how to test it each month. He is a true professional, great communicator and he works to the highest standards. At last I have found a real tradesman that I can rely upon. Very highly recommended! Two different electricians tried to pinpoint the problem with not enough hot water and the unit switching itself off. Colin from Ray of Light Electrical Services (Coventry) managed to solve the issue after an initial assessment of all the wiring and the electricity supply to the unit. Previous so-called 'specialists' claimed the timeswitch was to blame but after the initial and very superficial assessments, they never came back and ignored phone calls and texts. With Ray of Light Electrical Services, the problem was diligently assessed and promptly solved. Highly recommended! An initial inspection of the electrical system in my house by Colin Slevin was very thorough and disclosed a number of defects, some quite serious. I was impressed with Colin's knowledge and professionalism and so asked him back to rectify all the defects. This included fitting a new consumer unit. Colin kept me fully informed, with a written report and certificate of completion. Colin from Ray Of Light came out to undertake works of myself and my partner in our newly rented flat and I must say he did a cracking job. He was polite from the initial inquiry, informative during the entire process telling me exactly what he was doing and why trying to teach me about the system and how it should be used going forward. He was also very considerate asking about shoes off when he arrived at the property, requesting old towels etc to stop leaks. Colin has installed 4 motion sensor LED lights for my house around May 2017, the lights were working great. But last week, one of the sensor light did not catch the motion movement for unknown reason, I contacted Colin, he came and replaced unit. Smashing! No hassle at all. Big thanks! I am the owner and site agent of a 4 storey new build house, Colin was recommended to me by some one in the construction industry. Colin has completed the first fix stage of the property to the highest standard having installed over 7 thousand meters of wiring for the electrical system, data networking and audio visual distribution, alarm, cctv and under floor heating. The work carried out was fantastic, everything I asked for was completed, my opinion was asked for on many occasions, more technical things were explained in a way that made it easy for me to understand. The Fire alarms and emergency lighting also need to be the very best. I needed some work doing in fitting new emergency lighting and a full electrical report for my HMO renewal licence. I asked Colin to come and have a look on a Monday and he immediately found the problem, the sensors weren't working. He went away and sent me a quote for replacement sensors (which he had to get from Gledhill) a few hours later and came back the following Thursday to install them. He came to help us identify the cause of a plug socket that had stopped working. He swiftly diagnosed the problem and gave us loads of advice for when we eventually re-wire the house. We initially contacted Colin (Ray of Light) regarding an installation of an outside socket. Due to it being a rented accommodation, Colin carried out a full electrical safety inspection according to the current electrical safety standards. Colin replaced an old consumer unit, installed an outside socket and replaced internal sockets. His work is of very high standards and he took the time to explain what needed to be done. He left the house very clean and tidy. Despite how busy Colin is he worked very hard to accommodate us. He takes pride in his work and he is a FANTASTIC electrician. We will NOT use anyone else only Colin (Ray of Light).

Colin recently completed a complete rewire of our house. We are so happy with the work and the level service. From the start he was able to give an accurate prediction of scale of the job, how long it might take, and an indication of the cost. Colin clearly takes pride in his work. Not only is he meticulous, but he is also very knowledgeable when it comes to remaining both safe and compliant. The cost was always fair, with hours work reflected accurately and even refunds if parts or wire were not used. Following an initial assessment, Colin even went the extra mile to replace dangerous circuit breakers to ensure we were safe before the work could start. Would recommend.

It's been an absolute pleasure to have met Colin, he is without doubt a credit to his profession. Nothing was too much trouble, his work is quite superb with his attention to detail second to none.
