Very pleased with the job done by McInnes Group. Neat piece of work which was completed on time. Would recommend them if you need advice about heating systems.

Please note I have had to give this appalling company one star as there is no option to give zero stars. I own a property in Scotland and I had an oil fired boiler installed by the McInnes Group which was due it's first service in February 2021. We organised the service to be carried out and the engineer attended our property. After a couple of hours he was finished and left apparently leaving us with a working system. 10 minutes after he left we had to contact the McInnes group, a lady called Beth, to advise her that our system was not working. We were assured that she would get hold of the engineer and send him back. I just so happens that he was out of signal and didn't get the message to come back to us until he was back in Inverness, any how he then set off back to us. When he arrived he managed to get it to fire up and told us that sometimes when you service the boiler and put them back together it can move a part out of its position causing it not to work. I found this a poor excuse, however this was what we were told. The engineer managed to get it to work and then left. Within 30 minutes we were back on the phone to Beth as our heating had gone down again. Bearing in mind is was below zero and had been snowing and as a result was extremely cold made worse by the fact we had no heating or hot water, also my wife is disabled which was not helping. We called back to the McInnes Group and Beth's response to our situation was that the engineer would not return and she did not know what else to do. We were even advised by the engineer who, after being contacted by Beth and refusing to come back, to open the boiler up and get some screwdrivers out and take off the cover and we would be guided through what to do. Obviously I refused to do this as I am not an engineer and besides it would have invalidated our warranty. We got in touch with Grant's, the boiler manufacturer, as it was still under warranty and was told that they could get a part to us which was fine, however the McInnes group (Beth) said that they would not be able to return to us. Once again when questioned about what we were supposed to do, the same reply came, I don't know what to do! This is not acceptable. We got back in touch with Grants who finally put us in touch with a local company in Wick. They came out the following morning and within an hour our system was working temporarily until the relevant part arrived. A couple of days later the part came and the company from Wick "The Heat Center" came back out and fixed the boiler properly. This is the kind of service you should receive, not the sloping of shoulder that the McInnes group have done. To rub salt into the wounds they have had the audacity to bill us £293.00 for the privilege of their appalling service and when questioned as to it being right to bill someone for their boiler being serviced yet left without it working, low and behold the lies start. I.E "it was working when we left" or "it's not our fault it is the manufacturer's fault" and the best one, "I didn't say that"! We refused to pay this bill after speaking to trading standards. however I would not advise anyone to refuse to pay them as their threats of action start. The best advice is to do what we have done which is pay them and leave reviews like this in order to hit back as the more people that know about their service the better. There are much better alternatives out there with much better morals who would go the extra mile. I genuinely can't stress enough how shockingly bad the McInnes Group are.

Positive experience from start to finish with the McInnes Group. Great communication throughout. The team that fit our heat pump we’re friendly and professional. They were always more than happy to answer any questions we had. We are so happy with our heat pump and the standard of finish achieved by the team. Highly recommend the McInnes Group.

We had a full replacement of our old storage heaters with a brand new air source heat pump system. They were quick, hard working, polite and clean. And fast. Excellent work. Highly recommend.

The McInnes Group have serviced our oil boiler for many years to our satisfaction so when it came time to replace it, we asked McInnes to do a survey to see what our options were. The survey was thorough and we were given impartial advice. Sadly, converting the house to a heat pump was going to be both expensive and disruptive as the whole house would need to be re-piped and the number of radiators effectively trebled. We decided to replace the oil boiler with the latest Grant model and McInnes prepared the quote efficiently and ordered the equipment once a contract was signed and a deposit paid. We were contacted a few days later to agree a day and time to install the new boiler and the whole installation went to plan and was done carefully and thoroughly.
