It’s been a little while since our last update, however we have been extremely busy on large electrical commercial projects throughout Liverpool. Our electricians will be soon conducting the electrical installation for a new sports bar on the Albert Dock – this will include all lighting, emergency lighting and consumer units. We will be sure to update the website with our latest photos once completed!
As a partnership, we completed a substantial commercial project within the Baltic Triangle. The photos speak for the dramatic improvements throughout!
Bonjour! Firstly, we hope our customers and commercial clients are doing well and are starting to see their normal lives slowly return to a new normality. Our team of electricians have been busy on various projects throughout Liverpool. There has been an enormous increase in EICR requests due to further government legalisation on rental properties requiring an EICR - you can read more here. We have also increased our team size by another full-time electrician, Pat - so welcome Pat! We will also have an important project to announce soon! We will attempt to update our website a little more often now
We are looking to expand our electrical team by a further member of staff due to recent expansion. You can see the job advertised on indeed. Please click here to view the job on indeed.
Happy new year! We haven't updated with our job photographs in a little while, but luckily, it's because we've been really busy! Our team of electricians have primarily been focusing on multiple commercial electrical installations. The first installation was for Madre, a new Mexican bar/restaurant on the Albert Dock (JFP did the hot water, commercial gas and first/second fix of all plumbing and drainage, too). We installed a complete electrical system within Madre, including all lighting, sound etc. The second installation (still progressing) has been an entire electrical system (sound, alarms, lighting, data) for an extension into the upstairs in Present Company, Liverpool.
Our electricians have commenced on a full electrical installation on a new bar/restaurant situated on the Albert Dock, Liverpool. The premises is over two floors located in a prime location on the docks. We are still at the early phases - completed photographs will be added as the project commences!
Our electricians have been occupied working on the new Bongos Bingo located in the up and coming Baltic Triangle area in Liverpool. We have been working here for approximately four weeks after it's venue change from Camp & Furnace. Our electricians have also been completing multiple domestic home rewires - often due to the electrical installation being ancient and potentially dangerous. Of course, we have also been doing our day to day repairs and EICR certifications. We will be soon commencing work on multiple locations on the Albert Dock for a multitude of new bars and restaurants.
Our team of electricians have been jam-packed in the last few weeks, conducting our usual re-wires, EICRs (Electrical Certificates), fire alarm installations, replacing consumer units/fuse boards and general electrical installation work (outside sockets, lights, pendants, CCTV etc.)
We have been conducting numerous EICRs throughout Liverpool for professional HMO owners and AirBNB, or short stay hotels, in which the electrical, fire alarms and safety regulations are incredibly high. During our inspections, we have repaired/replaced multiple smoke alarms, heat alarms and CO alarms. We have also isolated or rectified dangerous electrical work conducted by previous owners (certainly not electricians!).
With the introduction of landlord licensing being compulsory (Liverpool City Council operates such a scheme) these certificates and electrical safety checks are obligated to obtain a license authorising a landlord to rent a property to the general public. We believe this is a fantastic step in the correct direction. Of course, being a business, we will inevitably think that - however, these certificates are valid for 5 years. This works out at potentially £1.50 - £2.00 per month. This is a non-existent cost for the safety of the tenants, and ultimately, peace of mind for the landlords - it seems win-win to us. These costs would dwarf into insignificance if a customer or tenant suffered injury utilising a dangerous electrical installation and decided to take legal action. We recommend all landlords to employ professional, licensed electricians to ensure their property is safe and required remedial works conducted in due time. It makes moral sense and business sense. We are sure there will be landlords who will disagree! If you would like our team to conduct your electrical safety check, please feel free to contact us - we will guide you through the process.
Over the last few weeks, our electricians have continued completing multiple EICRs & Fire Detection/Alarm System Inspection reports for a company who specialises in HMO management and investments. A selection of the properties (before letting) had old, broken and damaged fire detection and alarm systems which required replacing. We installed new hard-wired smoke alarms, CO alarms and fire alarms throughout the properties allowing the property to be up to standard, legally. Of course, while completing the electrical installation condition reports, we discovered numerous safety issues which required immediate attention and remedial. Faulty electrics are a leading cause of house fires in the UK - if you're a landlord, it is more important than ever to ensure your property has a valid electrical condition report.
During a property refurbishment, our electricians completed a re-wire of the property. This brought the property up to a modern, legal standard in preparation for rental.
We want to welcome two new full-time electricians to further our team - Carl & Tom - they will be completing day to day repairs, EICRs and installation works! For the last few weeks, we have been spending a significant amount of our time completing a full electrical installation for a new bar on Hanover Street. Our electricians have completed a full rewire, including new smoke alarms, heat alarms, lighting, networking, CCTV and sound system, all installed perfectly into trays running through the bar. We are coming to the end of the project and we're looking forward to the opening!
NOTE: We are looking to employ a full-time electrician - please click here for more information.
