J & M Electrical was started up by John Robertson in 1986 as a partnership, then 16 years ago he was joined by his son John Robertson Jnr. and daughter Fiona Robertson. From humble beginnings in Farquhar Road and a garage in Clifton Road, the family-run business then moved to King Street, then Elmfield Place, to the Walker Road premises where it operates today with 10 employees. Initially business was mainly domestic, concentrating on the installation of storage heaters, with the occasional commercial or industrial job, however as the business grew the commercial sector increased. Today the company are proud to offer a wide range of experienced personnel to cover all aspects of electrical installation and maintenance, including working with new builds and self-build properties. J & M Electrical are a tried and tested family-run business, with a reputation for integrity, reliability and efficiency. Working locally and nationally for over 30 years, the company have comprehensive knowledge and experience of domestic and commercial work, working with many well-known construction companies and independently. Our environmentally friendly electric van fleet is used locally and demonstrates our commitment to a greener future.  We are also proud to be one of the few approved companies in Scotland for installation and servicing of heat recovery ventilation systems.
