Glynn2 StarAlthough the garage didn't do any work on my car and I decided to go else where, but it was two stars for the overall customer service experience.
I am with AA parts and garage and the AA patrol mentioned a few garages that they associate with parts and garage.
The AA patrol said don't ring them up as you can't drive your car but just take it down and leave it there. Wrong idea actually.
Anyway I went in and mentioned to the guy in reception what was wrong and what needed doing as soon as I mentioned AA parts and garage the look on his face was unreal, they didn't seem to want to do the work! "AA don't like paying out, you know?!" Because they have to speak to AA parts and garage on the phone. With a few sighs from the man on reception as well, he asked me three times why I phoned the AA?! well if you are with the parts and garage then the AA have to come to your car and do a diagnostic first on your car before it can be processed through the AA parts and garage team. I mentioned this to him, but like I said don't know if he wanted to take the job on or just didn't want the hassle of the AA parts and garage.
The guy on the reception desk seemed quite awkward to be honest. Although he booked the car in for the following week but after I got home I phoned another garage up that seemed much more friendlier and I cancelled with Halfords. Although the guy seemed much better when I rang up or if not this place would have got a one star rating!

simon atkin5 StarHad my car MOT'd at this Halfords auto centre. I found the staff very friendly and obliging, the car was ready when they said and they rang as soon as it was , which a lot of garages although promising to, never do!
