George Demetriou5 StarI've been with the Halfords Autocentre at Stretford for about 10 years now and I feel they are the main reason my old banger is still on the road and never broke down.
Once again, even for a routine MOT and oil change it's good to get the reassurance that the rest of the car is fine and 100% roadworthy.Friday 22nd October 2021
Nick Jay3 StarI have been going here for 3 or 4 years and never had a problem until this time. I guess a new manager? Having given my car an MOT last year, it's hardly been off the driveway so I was surprised to learn that not only was there excessive gasses coming off the exhaust front section but also the whole central and rear parts of the exhaust were badly corroded and quoted me just under £400 to fix it. Plus the offside windscreen wiper blade needed replacing (yes agreed) BUT then told it would be £43 because you can no longer buy them singly only in pairs. A short time later I took it to another tyre/exhaust and brake centre I know for a free exhaust check. They had it up on the ramp and confirmed the front exhaust needed replacing and quoted approx £171! As for the windscreen blade, you CAN still buy them singly and on Europarts (UK) with their current discount, they are £12.99! Bit of a difference. If they'd been honest with me instead of lying and inflating prices, I'd give them 4 or 5 stars. I've been recommending them all over the Internet when people asked. Not any longer!
