I called BAE when the hands free mic failed. They booked me in next day, sorted the problem and had the car back to me same day. Excellent service, will definitely use them again.

I took my van here to see if my old diesel heater could be fixed. The heater was removed and sent along to their appropriate garage. Some time later I was told that it would be too expensive to repair, I went in to discuss the way forward and pick up the old heater. I'm not complaining about the staff here, they were all very pleasant. On arrival I was presented with a bill for an hour's labour of £66.00 and given a demonstration of a new Chinese diesel heater and a quote £998.00 to fit a new one in my van. I left with my old heater in hand to think about how I should proceed. I gave the heater to a friend whose elderly father was pleased to have a look at it. He agreed it wasn't worth fixing but suggested that it hadn't been worked on before he took it to pieces. I'm glad I did this, because I bought the same brand new heater online for £94.00 and had it fitted elsewhere, as recommended by a friend, for £200. I can't understand why this garage charged me so much to tell me my heater wasn't worth fixing, or quoted me so much to supply and fit a new one. As a mature woman, I'm often faced with difficulties getting good advice from some garages, this is definitely one I shall avoid in future.
